These stands are sturdy, and the channels that are used to run wire up to the speakers are large enough to accommodate the 16AWG wire I use with my system. Price is very competitive, although all speaker stands are overpriced, IMHO. Fastening of speakers to stands could be a little more secure/stable, but that also depends on the shape and size of the speakers.
