Initially, I was a littel hesitant about purchasing these stands. However, I figured that $30 wouldn't be such a bad loss if the stands didn't work out... Boy, did these stands work out!!! They have microphone stand like height adjustments, and I did have to modify or purchase any additional hardware to mount my surround sound speakers on them, just a perfect fit.
