I am very pleased with these speaker stands. I looked around and these were the best deal available. Many speaker stands are expensive, way too much for a simple item. I considered making something but that would have cost more and not been as good. These arrived quickly, and were very easy to set-up. They are stable (heavy base), they keep the wires hidden, and adjust from about 17" to 48" high. Attaching to my small satellite (surround) speakers was extremely easy. For the front speakers that are taller (about 10.5" tall), I had to slightly re-shape the "L" shaped wire bracket that holds the speaker to the stand using the screw hole in the back of the speaker. This took five minutes with pliers and a vice, to change the location of the bend. You can also use the two-sided tape to attach speakers to the base plate (which is about 3" square). I used the metal bracket, which seemed stronger, to attach the speakers. It goes from out the back of the base plate then up the back of the speaker to the screw hole on the back of the speaker.
