I bought a pair of these black Atlantic stands for my smallish Sony satellite surround speakers. I was shocked at the sheer weight of the package when it arrived. Assembly was pretty easy- except for threading the speaker wire through the stand's poles and base. Try to have some string or a thin piece of wood to make this task easier. I ended up using a tape measure with the speaker wires taped to the end to get it through. Genius, huh?
After attaching the tiny Sony speakers, I found it amusing that the stand was built so solidly... it could easily support a speaker much larger/heavier. After placing them in the right spot, I gave them a tip/bump test- the solid heavy weight triangular base didn't budge at all. Very solid- you don't have to worry about losing a speaker with this one.
