Not as heavy as I was expecting for a cast iron base. They assemble quickly and contain the cable inside the stand, so all you see is the pole. My only complaint is that the mount will not accept speakers with screw-head hang-type mounts that are top located(like on my Onkyos). The stands do provide the option of hard mounting your speaker with wood screws, which I have done. They are very stable and sound the same as before, but you'll have to be willing to put screws in your speakers (if your speakers have their mounts located on the top of the speaker).Get more detail about Atlantic Satellite 77305018 2 Speaker Stands (Black).
