Long story short, I looked for days online to find speaker stands, and the value I got on these stands blew any other deals out of the water. I actually purchased stands from Target, got a look at them, then returned them for these stands. I saved a ton of money (ended up with 4 stands for about 4 bucks more than 2 stands at Target), and the stands are almost identical, looks and functionality-wise. I was a little worried about the store reviews, since it's not sold directly by Amazon...but I got the stands brand new, and very quickly. Stands themselves are solid, powder steel coating, grayish black color, the wire threads through the bottom. Supposedly only useable for smaller satellite speakers, but I have 8" satellites mounted on them, mountable with either double sided tape or screws.
