I was a bit skeptical when first purchasing these speakers stands. Cheap plastic stands at walmart or kmart were twice as much money. However, what a pleasant surprise! The speaker stands are very very heavy with a strong sturdy metal base. The speaker wires run up inside the pole and the assembly was so easy. Probably the best purchase I have ever made through Amazon.
